BA in Music from Sonoma State University

As a piano and voice teacher, I create a nurturing environment where students of all ages are empowered to learn and grow not just as musicians who intend to pursue a career in music, but as human beings who appreciate and recognize the infinite beauty of music.
FOR PIANO, I work with beginners through intermediate levels, starting with students in kindergarten up through adult. My focus is on developing the musicianship skills to play in a variety of piano styles, learning to read music, and studying common practice period repertoire.
FOR VOICE, I work with all ability levels, starting with students in middle school up through adult (younger students may be considered on a case-by-case basis after a trial lesson). As a voice student, if basic musicianship skills aren't already present, a portion of each lesson will be spent learning to read music in addition to singing in harmony, studying vocal technique, and exploring repertoire. While my specialty is historical performance practice (early music), I work in all legit vocal styles, from classic musical theater to western art song and opera.
