Petaluma School of Music Policies:

 

  • All Monthly Checks MUST be paid by 1St. of Month or will be charged a 5% late fee for checks dated after the 7th. of month.  Payments not made by 10th. of month, student time slot may be removed.
  • $35.00 fee on all returned checks.
  • $35.00 "new student" beginning registration fee for the school (please see "New Student Registration Form" under the CONTACT link on the HOME page).
  • All checks payable to Petaluma School of Music.
  • Missed lessons are NOT refunded monetarily for ANY reason. They MAY be made-up at the convenience of the teacher AND must be made up within 2 months time.
  • Please put the child's name and teacher's name on your check in the memo section. Ex: Adam/Sandy
  • Students may not switch teachers unless BOTH teachers agree to the transition.
  • Cancellation of lessons with  30-day notice.  Notice of student Withdrawal must be given at beginning of month with a signed Withdrawal form ONLY.  No exceptions to this rule.  Payment for that 30 days is required! Lessons will be given that month.
  • If the teacher misses a lesson, students will receive a make-up lesson.  This must be arranged by teacher and scheduled within 2 months of missed lesson.  Scheduling of lesson is arranged by instructor, or  a substitute instructor may be arranged.

Please note our cancellation/withdrawal policy:

For Private lessons, because the student to teacher ratio is 1:1 we take our teacher's time slots very seriously.  If you decide not be a student of PSM, you must fill out a written WITHDRAWAL FORM and return it to PSM, which will be granted 30 days from the following first of the month.
